511 A collection of Victorian 'Chrystographs' to an album, 45cm x 34cm and smaller
Chrystogaphs, or prints on gelatin, were developed at the end of the 19th century and were advertised as 'a perfect substitute for costly stained glass'. The prints were applied to windows and lamp shades for decorative purposes. The present collection is probably a trade catalogue for Kingsbury & Company
