Lacy Scott & Knight hold the largest one day sales of Collectors’ Models in the U.K., four times a year up to 2000 lots fall under the auctioneer’s hammer.
These wide ranging sales encompass all areas of collecting including steam, ‘O’ gauge and ‘OO’ gauge railway, diecast models by Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Spot-On, European manufacturers as well as Tinplate, Britains and modern Juvenalia.
Our sales enjoy a national and indeed international following. Whilst the majority of lots sell to buyers from the British Isles many more are shipped overseas to buyers in America, Australia and Japan amongst others.
Through dedicated cataloguing, extensive trade advertising and internet promotion astonishing prices are regularly achieved, often for forgotten childhood items.
Specialists Terry Durrant, David Ellis and Geoff Farrow have a wealth of knowledge in all areas.
Auction Talk, Preview and Valuation
We are available on the Thursday, prior to each Collectors’ Model Auction, to give a talk about the workings of the Auction House, which usually takes about 30 minutes, followed by a preview of the sale and a valuation session for vendors.
This particularly applies to Clubs, Societies and other groups, but individuals would be welcome.
